SECurus Maritime HSE

The SECurus system

Maritime HSE

Today's advanced and multi operational offshore, industrial and passenger vessels all face the same HSE challenges; minimizing loss of life, injury, property damage and strain on the environment. The responsibility to maintain and handle situations as they arise lies with the vessel crew, leading to enormous personnel strain, indirectly contributing to fatigue and personnel burn-out. The SECurus System will be a tool for relieving and aiding the vessel crew during normal passage as well in extreme situations.

Areas of application

  • Comprehend the situation
  • Identify the problem
  • Effectuate counter-measures

The vessel crew will be presented with additional information to the standard vessel navigation equipment, which combined with crew knowledge and experience will aid them to understand the situation, identify potential problems and effectuate the correct and effective counter-measures.

  • Makes the operator perform better

Human anatomy impose restrictions on operator performance when assessing simultaneous events that may arise in poor light conditions and at distance during operations where operators are already pushed to the limit of what they are capable of handling. During these kind of situations the SECurus system will help by presenting critical information in a manner that is quick and easy to interpret. The SECurus collects information in both the visible and infra red and plots events on a sea map providing operators with a situation overview unmatched by any single solution available today.

  • Classification and sharing of information

The possibility to share information vessel to vessel and vessel to land, enables the ability to have distributed competence and work capacity, as well as serving as an offshore 'eye' for land based operations.
