The SECurus system

Search and Rescue

The responsibility every vessel has for aiding in a loss situation, man over board (MOB) or under a search and rescue operations, is one of the most important responsibilities for avoiding casualties and avoiding unnecessary damage to property and the environment. The SECurus system is an effective, precise and flexible tool for minimizing the overhead and eliminating limitations imposed by human anatomy in any search, retrieval or rescue operation.

  • Search and retrieval

The SECurus will aid the operator when searching for people, objects or other vessels. Utilising different search patterns, and user defined search areas the system gives feedback to users when objects are detected providing an invaluable tool in any search and rescue (SAR) operations.

  • Tracking

When objects, vessels or personnel are detected through visual confirmation, AIS or RADAR, the system will keep track of their movement and can perform lock-on-target or tracking.

  • Classification and documentation

When a situation has arisen and all effort is put into effectuating the necessary situation assessment and counter measures, the need for post operation documentation is given a low priority. Through the SECurus system objects can easily be classified and logged, snapshots or recording of the videos, sea map or radar, can be saved and used for later documentation and grounds for decision-making.

  • Information sharing

All information, classification or videos viewed through the SECurus system can be shared between the vessels or to an on- shore 3rd party installation.
