Navigation and Array control
Independent of weather and light conditions, The SECurus can spot any floating object or small vessel that might interrupt the survey operation. The SECurus chart system allows for the overlay of all array information on the map system thus giving full visibility of the safety distance to any vessels or objects, including the ability to search, retrieve and plot any lost streamers or equipment in the chart.
  • Long range detection and identification of incoming vessels or floating objects
  • Reduce usage of chasers or supporting vessels as primary tool for identification
  • Lock-on target and tracking of all moving video objects, ARPA targets or AIS
  • Search and retrieval of equipment lost at sea
Area Surveillance and SECurity
Day and night area surveillance and security is carried out using the IR camera and the long range video camera. The stable images are presented on a large screen for easy operation and the image to map function ensures accurate pinpointing of unintentional and intentional trespassing. The 300W Xenon narrow light beam can engage the incoming vessel at 5 km. In combination with a good small object detection radar, even small incoming vessels can be detected and identified at 10 to 15 km range.

See vessels at:
15-20 km
  • Long range detection and identification
  • Discouraging and communication through light
  • Avoid using chasers or support vessels for inspecting potential threats
  • Lock-on target and tracking of all moving video objects, ARPA targets or AIS
Search and Rescue
The built in search and rescue patterns are modified by inputs such as wind, current and vessel speed to enable effective use of both the IR camera and the long range video camera. Any objects seen in the pictures can immediately be plotted directly in the map for immediate or later investigation. The 300W xenon narrow light beam will light up any object from 5 km out and aid identification and eventual pick up.

  • Weather indpendend day and night vision
  • SECurus automatic search
  • Weather adaptive search patterns
  • Lock-on and track retrieved objects, use the searchlight to illuminate
Mammal control
The mammal control function of the SECurus system ensures effective, accurate and documentable compliance with regulations for such control
  • Weather indpendend day and night vision
  • Automated search patterns
  • Detection of whale blow out up to 5 km away
  • Multiple systems give detection and recording of blow out lasting between 0.75 and 1.5 seconds
  • Aid the MMOS and vessel crew to do long period monitoring and documentation, reducing the risk of fatigue
Recording, documentation and collaboration
The SECurus can record pictures, video and screenshots for future documentation and analysis. The Aptomar TCMS system will ensure real time collaboration and information transfer between all involved locations both offshore and onshore.
  • Videos and pictures can be stored for documentation
  • Sharing of data through the Aptomar TCMS system
